Jacqueline Samuda is often credited as Jackie Samuda. She received a B.F.A. in Performance from York University in Toronto, then apprenticed at the prestigious Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the Lake, Ontario. She received an Ontario Arts Council Grant for Individual Professional Development to observe theatre development in New York City, where she lived from 1987-1989. She has worked as a story editor and script consultant in Toronto, Vancouver, and Los Angeles where she lived for a number of years. Now a resident of Vancouver, Jackie teaches screenwriting and story editing at the Vancouver Film School and is past president of Women in Film & Video Vancouver. She is also a Director on the board of the Alibi Unplugged Script Reading Series and the Pacific Cinematheque Film Society. |
