Monika Schurmann is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She also studied at The Second City in Toronto and then with Ron Stetson of the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. She wrote, acted in and executive produced her first short film Drama Queen which premiered at the TriBeCa Underground Film Festival. It won the bronze award for original comedy at WorldFest Houston. In addition to writing, she also directed the 2008 short, The New Job, which won a platinum award for original comedic short. |
