Paul Shapiro`s first film was a segment of the short Life x 9, which was nominated for an Oscar. His short film Miracle at Moraux won four awards al New York`s Inlernational Film and Television Festival. He was the wriler-dlrector of Hockey Night, a movie-of-the-week for CBC television which was voted Best Feature Drama at the Canadian Film and Television Awards in 1984. His first feature was The Lotus Eaters in 1993.
