William Shatner developed an early interest in acting and started working professionally at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation before he reached his teens. He found himself drawn to the theatre and eventually joined the Stratford Shakespeare Festival under Sir Tyrone Guthrie. Shatner played Ed Goodson in a series based on the now defunct Twitter feed, Shit My Dad Says. You can watch webisodes of his online series Brown Bag Wine Tasting, available on his website (link below). It seems as if he will always be remembered for being Captain James Tiberius Kirk in the Star Trek TV series and subsequent feature films. That role was capped in October 2021 when it was announced the 90-year-old actor would be part of a four-person crew aboard the second Blue Origin launch on Wednesday October 13, 2021. As many quipped, Captain Kirk will get to go where no older man has gone before. “So now I can say something,” a post on Shatner’s Twitter stated. “Yes, it’s true. I’m going to be a ‘rocket man.’” Learn more about William Shatner |
