Bashar Shbib moved to Canada at a very young age and grew up in the Eastern Townships south of Montréal, Québec. He made his first film when he was 23. He made a series of films under the project name, The Senses, which consisted of five loosely-linked films, each one about a different sense: Hot Sauce (taste), Taxi to L.A. (sight), The Perfumer (smell), Strictly Spanking (touch) and Panic (hearing). They were all released in 1997. His 1990 film, Julia Has Two Lovers starred the then unknown David Duchovny. (July 27, 2012) The Wedding Murders, Shbib`s latest film, is looking for crowdsource funding to finish the film. |
