Jessica Steen moved to New York in 1989 and the first contract she landed was a five-week appearance on the daytime soap, Loving, in which she filled in for Noelle Beck who need to take pregnancy leave from the series. This raised her US profile enough to result in a co-starring role as Linda, the union organizer, on the critically acclaimed drama series Homefront. Steen has played Lisa Stillman on the series, Heartland since 2007.
