Stefanie Sherk was a model and actress, married to Mexico-born actor Demian Bichir. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Sherk died from from anoxic encephalopathy, a condition caused by lack of oxygen to brain tissue, after she was found at the bottom of her family’s swimming pool. Her death was ruled a suicide. She was 43.
