If Marc Strange never did anything else he has a special place in Canadian entertainment history as co-creator, along with Lynn Susan Strange, of the highly popular TV series, The Beachcombers. He had spent more than 40 years in the entertain biz, including stints as a folk singer, songwriter, painter, poet, TV director, and longtime actor. As a boy he scored a part in a local radio program, igniting a lifelong love of acting and the arts. He also became a highly successful mystery writer. His novel, Sucker Punch was nominated for the Arthur Ellis Award in 2008 for best first mystery. Body Blows won the Edgar Allan Poe award for best original paperback. His latest book, Woman Chased by Crows was published the same month that he died in Toronto of cancer. He was 70. These are his credits as an actor.
