In The Shrouds, Vincent Cassel plays a man named Karsh, who has invented a device that allows people to view their loved ones decomposing in real-time. A widower himself, Karsh uses his invention to help connect people with their dead loved ones. When his unique and state-of-the-art cemetery is attacked, several graves are vandalized, including the grave of his wife. The story is about Karsh’s responses to the attack and how it forces him to take stock of his past and future. Production in Toronto is set to begin March 3, 2023.
