Taylor Kitsch stars as a young doctor in the English-language remake of the global 2003 Québec hit La Grande Séduction which was written by Ken Scott and directed by Jean-François Pouliot. The basic plot involves a big-city doctor who turns up in the small harbour town of Tickle Cove, Newfoundland that`s in desperate need of a doctor. If the town has a resident doctor it will be able to secure a factory and that will save it from financial ruin. In Tickle Cove a village resident Murray French (Brendan Gleeson) leads the search and once Dr. Paul Lewis shows up, he begins a series of crafty tactics, often involving the whole town, in an effort to seduce the doctor to stay permanently.

The Grande Seduction screened at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and was selected to open the 2013 Atlantic Film Festival.
