Deborah Kara Unger was the first Canadian-born actress to be accepted at the prestigious Australian National Institute of Dramatic Art. While in Australia, she made her professional debut on the 1989 television miniseries, Bangkok Hilton, in which she co-starred with Nicole Kidman. Before becoming an actress, she studied economics and philosophy at the University of British Columbia. In addition to her on-screen work, she has been adding her voice as the charater Scorpio to a series of Star Wards video games including Star Wars: The Old Republic – Rise of the Hutt Cartel in 2013, Star Wars: The Old Republic – Shadow of Revan in 2014 and Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire in 2015 She is pictured above at the 2010 Canadian Film Centre annual barbecue in Toronto.
