VFCC Likes Puny Sorrows

(March 8, 2022 – Vancouver, BC) The Vancouver Film Critics Circle has announced their 2022 awards and Michael McGowan’s All My Puny Sorrows led the pack with four awards, including Best Canadian Film. In all, 19 awards were announced divided between Canadian productions and International films. The Power of the Dog was named Best Picture in the International section, but it is a Canadian co-production, and Canadian-born director Denis Villeneuve was named Best Director for Dune, so in all Canada did very well in Vancouver. Not a single one of the International films received more than two awards. This was the 22nd edition of the VFCC Awards and the event was held virtually for second year in a row.
