Filmed in Winnipeg and based on the novel by American author Mary Downing Hahn, who shows up in the film playing the librarian, Wait Till Helen Comes tells the story of a blended family that moves to a converted country church. Fourteen-year-old Molly, (Sophie Nélisse) discovers she has a very special gift. She is the only one who can save her step-sister from a dangerous relationship with the ghost of a lonely little girl.
