Sherry White is an actor, writer, producer and director. A graduate of the Fine Arts program at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, she has performed in a number of theatre companies including the White Rooster Theatre and Rising Tide. Her film, The Bread Maker, which she also wrote, premiered at the 2003 Toronto International Film Festival. Her screenplay for Crackie was given the 2004 Jim Burt Screenwriting Award from the Writer’s Guild of Canada. Bloomsday Cabaret was directed by Rosemary House. White’s short film, Spoiled, which she wrote and directed, screened at the 2008 Women’s Film Festival in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She is pictured at the 2018 Canadian Screen Awards holding her award for the screenplay for Maudie, which also won for Best Feature Film. Also see: ACTRA Honours Sherry White. |
