Born William Dennis Vince, Bill Vince was a huge presence in Canadian and Hollywood filmmaking. Raised in West Vancouver, he was born severely dyslexic and learned to read and write through his mother, a schoolteacher. Along with his brother Robert, he began producing low-budget films out of Vancouver. It was 1992, Bill was 29 and Robert 31 when they released their first feature, Café Romeo, a mob comedy with a production budget of $1.5 million. Bill Vince was diagnosed with sarcoma about 18 months before he passed away. He was 44. We list his credits as a Producer unless otherwise noted.
