Director Adam Garnet Jones is a gay Cree/Metis filmmaker originally from Edmonton. His short films have been broadcast widely on television and at film festivals. In 2008, he received the imagineNATIVE/Canwest Mentorship Award and was the recipient of the RBC Emerging Artist Award and the Jim Burt Screenwriting prize for the script for Fire Song. He wrapped production on his second feature film, Great Great Great in 2015. His film, Fire Song, was selected to screen at TIFF 40 in September of 2015 and was given the honour of being named the Closing Night Gala film for the 2015 imagineNATIVE Film Festival in October. It went on to be named the winner of the Air Canada Audience Choice Award for 2015. |
