pSean Garrity studied film production and theory at Torontos York University and continued his studies at the Instituto de Arte Cinematografico de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires There he produced and directed an experimental film which was won a number of prizes at film festivals in Avellaneda and Santa Fe Argentina After three years of living in Japan and traveling through Asia Sean made a short abstract collage video which was selected to participate in the PFA Film Festival in Tokyo His short film iMiddlei was seen at film festivals in Vancouver and Toronto and iHow Much for a Half Kiloi won best film award at the Calgary Independent Film Festival as well as being nominated for a 2001 Blizzard Award His first featurelength film was iInertiai which won the award for Best First Canadian Feature at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival His short film iReorderi received a Jury Special Mention Award at the 2008 Brussels Short Film Festival Garritys feature emThe End of Sexem had its World Premiere at TIFF 2022br br Also see a hrefhttpswwwnorthernstarscacanadianfilmmakersatwhistlerCanadian Filmmakers at WhistlerabrAlso see a hrefhttpswwwnorthernstarscaseangarritysproposalSean Garritys Proposalabr br p
